Bob Dylan

Robert Frost

1.) Which is your favourite Poet/Lyricist? Why?

Answer:

My favourite lyricist is Honey Singh. Because I like his songs and his lyrics are catchy so I like to listen to them. Since childhood I have been listening to his songs.

2.) Share some lines from the Bob Dylan songs that you feel are relatable to you. Also, write the themes visible in those lines.

Answer:

Few lines I like from Bob Dylan’s song 'Blowin' In The Wind':

“And how many years can some people exist

Before they're allowed to be free?

Yes, and how many times can a man turn his head

And pretend that he just doesn't see?”

These few lines are relatable to me because I find that human beings are not free to express themselves.

In these lines there are themes like freedom, time, and supression.

3.) Share some lines from the Robert Frost poems that you feel are relatable to you. Also, write the themes visible in those lines.

Lines from ‘Fire and Ice’:

“From what I’ve tasted of desire

I hold with those who favor fire.

But if it had to perish twice,

I think I know enough of hate”

In these lines there is reflection of human nature. Poet himself admits that in his own self he observed desire that is destructive power as well as the hatred that can be destructive. The both elements we find in our own self that are destructive. That suggests introspection to purify ourselves.

There are themes like destruction, desire and hatred.

4.) Post the picture clicked during the activity and share some lines of any songs from Movies, Poems, or any type of music you feel is relatable to the theme of songs by Bob Dylan and poems by Robert Frost.
